Ambika Mod says the 'glass ceiling is always getting higher' for South Asian actors

Ambika Mod's statement about the 'glass ceiling is always getting higher' for South Asian actors highlights the ongoing challenges faced by individuals from diverse backgrounds in the entertainment industry. Despite progress in recent years, there is still a lack of representation and opportunities for South Asian actors in leading roles. Mod's comment suggests that while there may be more opportunities available, the bar for success is continually being raised, making it even more difficult for these actors to break through.

The addition of Ambika Mod to the cast of Black Doves, a Netflix spy thriller, is a significant development in this context. It indicates that streaming platforms like Netflix are making an effort to increase diversity and representation in their content. The move is also likely to be seen as a positive step towards addressing the issue of underrepresentation of South Asian actors in prominent roles. As the entertainment industry continues to evolve, it will be interesting to see how platforms like Netflix balance the need for diverse representation with the demands of their audience.

As the second season of Black Doves unfolds, it will be worth watching how Ambika Mod's character is received by audiences and critics alike. The success of her role could have implications for the future of South Asian representation in the entertainment industry, potentially paving the way for more opportunities and greater diversity in casting. Additionally, the response to Mod's comments about the 'glass ceiling' will be closely watched, as it may spark a wider conversation about the challenges faced by underrepresented groups in the industry and the need for greater inclusivity and representation.
